What if I don't use my HSA much this year?
You just pay the annual fee ($120 or $450). No wasted premiums like with insurance. Unused contribution room rolls over for one year.
Are there any hidden fees?
None. You pay the annual fee plus the percentage on approved claims. That's it. No setup fees, no cancellation fees, no surprise charges.
How does the claim fee work?
When you submit a claim and it's approved, we add the processing fee (8% for individuals, 5% for businesses) to the reimbursement total. Your corporation pays the full amount, and you receive the medical expense portion tax-free.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts. You can cancel your HSA at any time. Any pending claims will still be processed.
Is this really tax-deductible?
Yes, 100%. HSA expenses are classified as Employee Benefit Tax Deductions on your corporate tax return. This is explicitly allowed under Canadian tax law.
