Are hearing aid services CRA eligible in Canada?
Yes. Services provided by a licensed hearing aid practitioner are eligible for the Medical Expense Tax Credit (METC) in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan, and Yukon. Because METC-eligible services qualify for Health Spending Account (HSA) reimbursement, hearing aid practitioner services can be claimed through your HSA in those provinces.
